How Do You Catch Up on Missed Canvas Work?

I was away for a few days and came back to several Canvas announcements, readings, and assignments that I had missed. I looked for Do My Canvas Class for Me when the list seemed overwhelming, but I would rather learn how to catch up without rushing through everything.
