Prof. Leandra C. Marshall

Vice President of External Relations, Outreach, and Development 

 

Leandra Marshall has been in this capacity for 25 years and is one of the Founders of DEMCO. Prof. Marshall is known for her no-nonsense demeanor and her genuine love for the people of her community. She is a visionary always willing to take risks.

She is an innovative, brilliant leader that can get the job done. She has received numerous awards. Below are some examples.​

  • First African American woman ever to receive the British Council’s Chevening Scholarship to study in the United Kingdom. 

  •  Recipient of Lincoln University’s coveted “Rising Star” award for outstanding alumni

  • Recipient, Capital School District Board’s Outstanding Community Service Award 

  • Recipient, Delaware State University Kent County Alumni Association Community Service Award (2018) 

  • Recipient, DEMCO Lifetime Achievement Award (2019) 

  • Recipient, 2005 State of Delaware Trailblazer’s Award voted upon by 4 of the 5 state agencies, headed by the Delaware Secretary of State’s office. 

Kenwan Casson

Director, Human Resources

Kenwan Casson has over 5 years of experience in Human Resources (HR) and operations. He has notable experience in strategic human resource planning, training and development, performance management, payroll and staffing.

​

Mr. Casson’s earlier career experiences are as follows: Health/P.ED Teacher; Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist; Full Day Counselor; Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. He holds a Master’s Degree in Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Health/P.ED.

Enwan Casson Sr. M.ED

Project Director

​

Enwan Casson has been Program Director since 2004. Mr. Casson's experience includes but is not limited to the following: Conducting Individual and Group counseling sessions on substance abuse, crisis intervention, and self-esteem and conflict resolution. I oversee curriculum implementation for staff and provide administrative direction and oversight for all athletics. Mr. Casson graduated from Florida A&M University with Bachelor's Degree and Master's degree in Education. Mr. Casson also has an Administration I Certification from Coppin State University in 2010.

 

Mr. Casson is a proud member of the White and Gold Honor Society, Baltimore Teachers Union, and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
