DEMCO PROGRAMS
Welcome to DEMCO, a hub of creativity and dedicated to enriching the lives of students through a wide array of dynamic programs! Our offerings include the Cultural Health Ambassadors’ Project (CHAP) and the exciting Books and Basketball initiative, both designed to engage and inspire students from New Castle, Sussex, and Kent Counties. Additionally, we proudly provide Young Entrepreneurship and Young Authors Classes at Central Middle School (CMS), fostering essential skills for the future. To further enhance our educational impact, we have implemented an Incentive Program aimed at promoting Financial Literacy among students. Each of our classes comprises three key components: a focus on reading, critical prevention topics such as bullying, suicide, alcoholism, opioids, and substance abuse, along with a selection of engaging electives. We are fortunate to partner with the Capital School District, allowing us to offer these enriching classes as part of their Afterschool Program, complete with transportation on the Afterschool Bus. Moreover, our DEMCO Robotics Team, featuring talented students from the Caesar Rodney School District, meets regularly at our DEMCO Facility, where they collaborate and innovate. We also host the Odyssey of the Mind Gifted and Talented Students from Central Middle School at our facility, further enhancing their educational experience. In addition, we are excited to be working closely with Towne Point Elementary, expanding our and impact in the community.
